Gates open from 3pm with the festival drawing to a close at 1am. We do advise arriving early and making the most of it!

Dress

We encourage a smart yet fun style of attire. Give the jandals, singlets, sports team apparel and activewear a miss for this one – dress to impress!

Food

There will be a wide range of quality food vendors on offer but feel free to bring your own snacks or special dietary foods if required.

Highlife NYE is R22+ as we aim to cater to a slightly more seasoned festival audience for this event. If you fall below this age and wish to attend, please email us on [email protected] for dispensation.

WAYVER

Upon arrival to the event all guests will receive a WAYVER wrist band. There are WAYVER locations and mobile staff inside the event where you can top up your wrist band and/or obtain WAYVER refunds. Please see the map below for info on this. A first time top up fee of $4 applies. WAYVER can be used across all bars and food vendors at the event. Post event refunds can be organised from https://www.wayver.co.nz/

Highlife Entertainment and Ascension Wine Estate have a zero-tolerance policy for intoxication and people that are heavily under the influence of alcohol.

We want to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment as we do our best to ensure everyone has a great time. Go easy on your pre-drinks because if you arrive intoxicated or considerably under the influence we won’t be able to grant you entry. Those inside the party that have had a bit too much to drink will be respectfully pulled aside by our friendly staff and taken to our special chill out area where they can sharpen up again for a possible re-entry.
